News For Harley Riders – Burly Ape Cables

We love the look of a set of apes on a Softail, but hate sorting out which cables and brake line to use. Apparently the folks at Burly Brand had the same issues and have now  eliminated all the trial, error and inventing of bad words. Each kit is specific to a year range and designed for 14” or 16” apes. Includes extended throttle cables, extended clutch cable, extended brake line and even wiring harness extensions. Cables and brake line are satin black (even the fittings!) and the kit includes instructions to help walk you through the install. Fits most late model FX and FL Softails.
Check out the Burly web site or contact your local dealer to get a set and look for additional products to join our already proven line in the very near future.

  1. Burly cables are the worse thing I ever put on my bike not worth a cent

  2. Re: Ape clutch cable for 2009 softail….just to inform you that my installation shop are now on the THIRD brand new set of clutch cables to and cannot figure out why they are binding and difficult to operate which in turn are a DISASTER waiting to happen. They are UNSAFE and I have heard that Burley admitted to a DEFECT. Has the National Transport Safety Board been notified?
