The dates and applications for the first Moto Giro USA event have been announced for April 29, 30 and May 1, 2011. The USCRA (United States Classic Race Association) event, is sponsored by American Iron Magazine and RoadBike magazine, will be held in the Berkshire Mountiains of Massachusette and New York with the headquarters at Jiminy Peak.
The event, which is open for small displacement pre-1969 motorcycles and sidecar rigs, is an AMA event on public roads with the riders following specific route instructions within a time schedul. Plus there are a number of skill sections each rider must complete.
Every year a number of small displacement machines compete, including a growing number of very fast Harley 250 Sprints.
Classes are: 65cc and smaller, 66 to 125cc, 126 to 200cc, 201 to 250cc and 251 to 305cc, sidecar and scooter. Entry fee is $170 per rider.
