Motorcycle Cannonball Starts Today – Team American Iron Magazine On Harley Classics

The second ever Motorcycle Cannonball endurance ride starts today in Newburgh, NY and ends, almost 4,000 miles later in San Francisco, CA on September 23. In addition to it being such a long ride, virtually all on back roads, the motorcycles are unusual in that they all must be pre-1930 machines.

American Iron Magazine’s Buzz Kanter has teamed up with Paul Ousey in this year’s event. Both riders participated in the first Motorcycle Cannonball in 2010, which was open to pre-1916 motorcycles.  This year Buzz is riding a 1929 Harley JDH and Paul is riding a 1925 Harley JE. Their departure time is 9:20 EST today.

Buzz will be blogging this event from the road on www.caimag.com and www.classic-harley.info as well as posting videos on Youtube (search Buzz Kanter and Motorcycle Cannonball 2012) as he can.
