I want to know if anyone is having this problem, I ride for awhile and when you stop and turn the bike off, say to get gas, upon restarting, the engine revs to 2500-3000 rpm and does not come down. You have to shut the bike off and retry. After about 4-5 restarts it might start normally. The bike is at the Harley dealer as of this post(22 days now) They decided that they would replace the induction module, ordered the part, and discovered we put on an after market fuel tuner, and all of a sudden the problem is no longer the induction module. Funny thing is the fuel tuner has been on for over 7000 miles .We took a 2000 mile trip and the problem happened 2-3 times. They took the bike for a 20-50 mile ride and decided it isn’t their problem. According to the manufacture of the fuel tuner this problem is not related to the tuner that is piggy backed to the Harley fuel system. Can anyone gives us some advice on how to get Harley to fix whats really wrong with the motorcycle. Getting really disappointed in the Harley Dealership for all the run around and games they are playing with a customer who bought their bike from them.

I’m pretty new to Harleys, the other day I test rode a 2013 Dyna Street Bob, I fancied it and I wanted to trade in my 2 months old Sportster 1200T SuperLow for it. I was disappointed by the vibrations felt from the pegs up to my hands. I rode through country roads, maximum 50m/h and not for long. Handling was fantastic, I was happy with it, apart from these vibrations.
Is this still the case with a 2014 model? I would have bought a new Street Bob standing in the show room if it wasn’t for this issue.
Please comment and give advices in regards. Cheers all

Well, almost none at all. As mentioned in the review, the stock solo seat is rather hard on the old behind after riding a while, but I figured I’m going for style rather than comfort here. You pays your money, and you takes your choice. Oh, yeah, neutral does like to play “hide and seek”, as John W. put it (got a chuckle out of that, BTW). All in all, nothing to really bug me. It’s a great bike.

It likes to hide if I come to a stop 1st sometimes. Just a thought for you guys that have found neutral to be elusive as well haha. Other than that I ride it like I stole it & have no other issues.

I bought a 2013 Harley Street Bob and I love it except when I need to take a break at the stop light…I cant seem to find nuetral, cold or warmed up. Does anyone have this problem, should I bring it back to the dealership? I would appreciate any advice anyone has. Thank you.

Couldn’t be happier. Have always had an FLH since 1969, so it was quite a change, but love the agility and power. No problem what-so-ever with any “rough spot”, but every once in a while neutral likes to play hide-and-seek.

I have a 2010 FXDWG and have never had an issue with finding neutral, regardless of the state of the tranny (hot or cold) or weather coming up form first or down from second gear. I don’t have any odd vibration either. Maybe my bike was built before the lunchtime party. :-)

My 2011 Wide Glide (96 inch) also has that “odd vibration” described in the report. My previous bike (2006 Dyna 88 inch) was smooth at all engine speeds but this one at 65 mph in 6th gear feels somewhat like a V8 that is firing on 7 cylinders. It is not a deal breaker for me because most of my riding is at 70+ where it is very smooth. Someone who wants to ride slower may not be happy with it.
