Harley Tour In Taiwan: American Grand Riders For Seniors

Announcing a unique riding experience for older riders looking for international adventure.  Peter Starr invites you to join him celebrating the “Spirit of the Grand Riders” in Taiwan on Harley motorcycles.

This is an opportunity to:

* Celebrate Harley’s 110

* Join the World famous “Grand Riders”, the Octogenarians, who made their dream come true (see the video clips).

* Celebrate the Grand Riders opening event in Pintung (on the beach at the south end of the Island) and the follow up event in Taichung (a beautiful and modern city in the center of the Island)

* Ride through the beautiful and tropical oriental countryside of Taiwan.

* Ride a Harley around Sun Moon Lake in the mountainous center of the Island, and through the mountains of Taroko Gorge.

* Ride the east coast road from Hualien to the south end of the Island and back to Kaohsiung arriving in time for “Bikertopia”

This is not just an excuse to ride Harley-Davidsons in an exotic land. It is a way for senior riders (62 years and older) to express their support of senior “independence” and furthering the cause of helping seniors realizing their dream. Yes, we will ride some amazing roads and meet some remarkable people but it is much more than that.

It is an opportunity to see how Seniors are treated by their younger citizens showing a respect for their elders that does not get the same priority in the USA. That is why this ride is only available to riders aged 62 or older.

Here is a video clip from a previous scooter version.

Be prepared to have your emotions tugged and perhaps even to shed a tear. It is such an uplifting experience that six of the ten riders who went in 2012 will be there again for 2013. We have spaces for only 20 riders.

The trip includes:

Rental of Harley Davidson Motorcycle (we will mix and match the different models),

Round trip economy airfare from Los Angeles leaving September 25th and returning October 7th,

All hotels (twin share) 11 nights,

All meals,

Ground transportation when not on motorcycles,

High Speed Rail (Bullet Train) tickets Taipei – Kaohsiung – Taipei,

Gas for motorcycles up to 100 liters per motorcycle,

English speaking tour guide,

Chase bus and driver for luggage and some passengers,

Day of site seeing by bus in Taipei including a fabulous evening show (I am keeping it a secret so that it will be a surprise but I saw it in February and it was a knocked-out by its uniqueness.)

The cost USD $4,769 per person. This price is based on 10 riders. If we sign up 20 riders, that price will be reduced by $400. There are only 20 riding places available, i.e. 20 motorcycles. Each rider can take a passenger if he/her wishes as their room mate.

The trip does not include:

Tour guide and driver tip ($6.00 per day person)

Beer, booze or other personal incidentals

Single room (available for extra $790),
