How about more technical articles. Have a Flathead section, a Knuckle,Pan, or Shovel section, an Evo section, Twin Cam, etc. You can't have too many tech articles. More head to head comparisons of different products along with the pros and cons would also be invaluable to us readers. Thanks for an otherwise excellent mag.

What mods did they make to make it personal - not that I would do them but you certainly could learn some stuff........maybe a little bio for Frisco - to bring him up to date........
Thanks for the backing texan. That was my original intent, glad to see that someone else gets it.

1996fatboy, I think reader/form bikes is a great idea also.

thanks to you two for the support

Texan, Im glad you brought up Kyle Petty, The yearly cross country charity ride he does for the Victory Gang camp sometime rolls through close to me and I always go to see what kind of rides are invloved, and I would say that 99% of them are bikes with personal mods, and there is a lot of famous people who ride with him on that excursion.

There are only two celeb's bikes that I would like to know more about. Billy Gibbons raw metal Evo that I saw on TV in 1993 for a brief moment and a photo in a mag that showed it after it had started to rust. And of course Mickey Roukes Evo FXR from the cimematic classic Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man. Just my 2 cents.

Thumbs up I'm for it

I read a story in a mag about Billy Joel who is an advid "motorcycle enthusiast". Which means he, like most of us rides 'em and collects 'em. He had one built by a custom shop and was very hands on as far as input to what he wanted to see, not what the shop wanted to see.

Any way I think as long as the celeb' is someone that rides his rides then why not do a story? That's what AIM is all about; people who are into American iron motorcycles and ride American iron motorcycles.

Cheers!

Billy Gibbons - let's see ZZ Top - the last time I saw him was in a small place just North of Tomball - don't think he was riding however.

Hey all,

I wouldnt mind seeing some celeb bikes as long as they actually ride 'em and have some clue about their bikes. High priced "look what I got" bikes are not for me. As was said, Billy Joel is a collector. I believe he does ride and he has some of his bikes on display at Lighthouse HD. Dee Snider (Twisted Sister fame) also frequents Lighthouse HD and rides. They have some real nice bikes on display there. Sorta like a mini museum. Botz

I would like to put a 130/18 on the front of my 06 1200R. The tire that comes on the cvo springer. And the 100" S&S engine. Take my bike, then take some pictures.

I like the idea of the celeb bikes and the forum member bikes... with a couple of caveats:

1. Skip the ridiculous customs... not all of them, but the ones that are clear examples of a status symbol.

2. Skip the goons who ride becuase it's trendy and cool and shoot for the folks that ride because they really love it.

That is all...

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.
