Default Overseas Subscribers

A few weeks ago we announced to all our overseas subscribers that we had to cancel their subscriptions and refund their money as the costs of shipping the magazines outside the US and Canada had grown too high for us.

In the last year alone our shipping costs alone had doubled.

We were barraged with hundreds of complaints and offers to pay more. So after looking into it we have found a way to ship American Iron Magazine to our overseas subscribers the cheapest but efficient way. But we have significantly increased the cost to subscribe to cover our costs.

Details will be posted shortly and we will have a direct link on this site for overseas subscribers to sign up for American Iron Magazine. The costs will be $120(US) for a one year subscription outside the US and Canada.

Sorry it is so high, but the shipping fees are out of control.

Hope this works for all involved.

Buzz; I was one of the complainants. Great mag but I believe that you are wrong to cancel my subscription to New Zealand before it expires. You quote rising costs at the same time you offer all sorts of discounts and promotions to attract new memberships. As I stated in my earlier unanswered email my sub was paid upfront, I support your advertisers and promote you mag to others. I concede that it is your right to increase shipping costs in the future but surely not during a current subsription period.

We have listened to our readers and come up with a solution that I hope will satify everyone invovled, our readers and us.

Everyone can subscribe to American Iron Magazine by clicking the "Subscribe & Save" box on top of these pages. Simple follow the directions, fill in the boxes and we'll take it from there.

Hope this helps everyone on this.

I'm happy that you got the problem resolved. To me it speaks volumes about the quality of AIM that people around the world enjoy reading it, glad you didn't let them down.

I'll pay the extra because like I said its a great mag and I want to read about our boy at the S&S biker buildoff. But I still believe that the unilateral change of price part way through my subscription term is the same as if I paid for a hotel room at an agreed rate and got thrown out of my bed halfway through the night if I refused to pay extra.

Wow you came around, I still cant see a copy even on the newstand here, I wrote to you earlier, I sent the same letter to VTWin and Hot bike stating how I cant see them here in OZ.

They sent me a copy gratis so I could see the style and substance of their issues, guess what I now subscribe to them.

I've read both magazines and feel they are weak shadows of American Iron. Very weak.

In the UK there is a free motorcycle paper called MotorCycle Monthly, the name says it all. It can be picked up at nearly all bike dealers, including Edinburgh Harley-Davidson.

This free paper also has a Web Site, http://www.motorcyclemonthly.co.uk. Have a look, there is a link which allows you to see the whole paper online.
This I'm sure could be set up on the AI Web Site and overseas users could pay an online suscription for access.

The Scotsman.
