AI article on oil - Harley Forum

Several months back there was an article on oil. I've lost or misplaced the mag. Does anyone recall the article and the month of issue. I would like to reread that article. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it was November of 2005. I remember making note of the article myself as I was (and still am) thinking of going to a Synthetic oil but on the other hand am a "don't fix what's not broke" kinda guy.

I just double checked and it WAS November 2005. Article was called: "Synthetic Oil Revisited" and it was under Techline by Donny Petersen.

Scully, Thanks for the reply. I want to make a change in oil( I think). i just read the Ams Oil white paper on motorcycle oil testing and found it very informative. Just need all the help I can get to make a decision. thanks again.

Glad to help ! Sounds like we're on the same page when it comes to the oil question. I wouldn't mind a copy of the white paper your taling about so if you can point me in that direction I'd appreciate it !

Scully, amsoil.com has a white paper on testing different oils. I found it very interesting. I would recommend it for any cyclists interested in care of their machine. I'll be surprised if you don't find it helpful.
