| | Hey Buzz! Ya know, I love the rag, but, I can't stand your subscription service. I never seem to get the issues on time. I have yet to recieve the Sept issue. I must admit I live in Germany, but, for crying out loud, stop sending the damn things on super snail mail. I payed extra for the subscription cost to cover shipping, isn't that enough? And don't give me the number to call, been there, done that.
Thanks for letting me vent. Posted by: Relic on Aug 22, 06 3:38:31 am |

| | There now. Are you feeling better?
Once it goes into the post offices care we have no control of the copies. Sorry about that, but we are publishers not mail carriers. I'd like to think we all get decent service considering how much we pay for the mail services.

| | Hey Buzz,
My mother, bless her heart the woman's a saint, bought me a sub for my birthday along with some back issues to cover issues I'd miss waiting for the sub to start. There's a charge on her credit card statement from A.I. for nearly $50 so naturally I assume it went through.
Thing is, here we are with August shot and I have nothing from you yet. If you'd be so kind, please look into it and let me know the deal.
Having been an advertising sales and design guy and managing the circulation for our newspaper, circ.10,000, for a number of years, I understand the demands and pressure you're under what with A.I.'s circulation being what it is. So, no hurry, but at the same time I'd appreciate you looking into it before too long. It'd be nice to get something in the mail before the next edition hits the stands, supposing it hasn't already. I don't want to go look, seeing them displyed for the past couple months and not having them show up in my mailbox has been a bit anoying.
My e-mail address is on file here at the site.
Thanks,

| | rokitrob,
First of all, thanks for subscribing! And for understanding the demands on controlling our circulation (ours being over 14 times that of your newspaper!)
Do me a favor and send me an email: michaelk@tamcommunications.com
I'll look into your subscription for you to see when you should expect your first issue.

| | Hey Buzz...not once have I ever recieved a sub without first seeing the mag sitting on the stands for WEEKS on end before it shows up in my mailbox! What's the point of having a sub if it's always old news when I get it...Like I mean if the mag is on the stands in my town........Why not in my mailbox? Markham is like less than 36 hours from here, and being a monthly..... You and I both know the mags are sitting on pallates at least for a few days before being shipped. Plenty of time for subscription handling .....I told you I was a circ manager, maybe not for as big of a circuation, but for a weekly....A Weekly! so I know where the bear $hit in the buckwheat bub. EVERY time, my mag's pull date is within a week of when I get it...What's up with that?? I'm tired of anticipating old freakin' news...When I fianially get it, I like it but it's an OLD like.....A three week OLD like.... Time to jerk up the socks of your people in Markham....Or give me the contract! Posted by: rokitrob on Dec 12, 06 1:28:49 am |

| | My subscription always showed up a few weeks after it was available to the general public. I guess that is why it’s cheaper to subscribe. I was a kid looking at the puppy in the pet store window wondering when I would get mine. I said F… it and cancelled. I now pay full price and get it sometimes even before it is suppose to hit news stands.
It’s a good magazine so I can justify paying full price. It seems to be a trend that those that subscribe are taken a little for granted and are put on the back burner while they are trying to reel in new customers. Someone is dropping the ball. Posted by: JCOURNEYAP on Dec 12, 06 10:35:23 pm |

| | Hey, I wish I had more control of it too. We rely on the post office to do its thing. The subsription copies leave the printer the same time the newsstand copies do. The newsstand takes 2 weeks to get from printer to the newsstand. No idea why the post office takes longer than that. Sorry about that. Really! Posted by: Buzz Kanter on Dec 14, 06 9:52:41 am |
