Default Overseas subscriptions

I am an American currently working in Iraq (contractor) and I was wondering if I subscribed, would that be considered an overseas subscription? I have an APO AE address. I have noticed in the past that some companies won't ship to APO or FPO addresses for whatever reason and didn't know if it was because of the shipping price or some other reason. Thanks!

An APO or FPO is not considered an oversea's address. As I'm sure you're aware all APO FPO addresses are associated with a CONUS zip code. When I was in Iraq we basically had a San Francisco address. The main reason a company won't ship to APO or FPO addresses is because in some sense it resembles a PO Box address and there are companies who won't ship to a PO Box. For instance when I lived in Okinawa I had a FPO-AP address, but it went to a PO Box, therefore I had problems with some companies and them not shipping to me.

When subscribing it would be a state side sub. When filling out the subscription card or online your city will be either FPO or APO and your state will be AA, AE or AP. If I'm not mistaken your zip will start with 96. Looking at and going through the online subscription portion all of these options are available and your country would be United States.

Hope that helps.

If all else fails do you have a family member or someone who could forward it to you?
