Future Of Harley Magazine in Print? For years I have been hearing about how the future of print is limited and that special interest magazine publishing - like for Harley motorcycles - is dead. I hear that the print Harley magazine future is to go to on-line. We at American Iron Magazine, the world's best selling and most popular Harley magazine, don't buy that theory even if many other Harley magazine publishers do. Have you noticed that as American Iron Magazine adds more pages and better quality editorial and paper, many of the other Harley magazine publishers are going the other way? The current issue of American Iron Magazine has 212 pages of solid Harley editorial and content - new Harley and gear reviews, Harley tech and how-to, custom and classic Harley reviews and more. Many of the other Harley magazine publishers have gone a different way with fewer pages, cheaper paper and weak editorial. But many of them are investing in on-line magazine publishing. We at American Iron Magazine are investing in the best possible print Harley magazine in the world while also looking into the on-line side too (hey, you are reading me here on-line right?) What do you all feel about Harley magazine publishing in print vs. on-line? We like them both but are not considering lowering our standards or quality in print. |
