| | Re: American Iron Magazine Subscription Services I subscribed about two weeks ago, online, paid with credit card.
I would like to have received acknowledgement (welcome, thanks, etc.)that my payment had been received and when the first magazine will be mailed. I haven't heard anything to date. Also would like to know that I've been entered into the contest. A little communication would go a long way. Looking forward to arrival of my first issue.

| | Re: American Iron Magazine Subscription Services Good service on my subscription. I have been receiving AIM for several years, since about 2003. I even relocated to another state back in '05 and never missed an issue. It probably sounds kind of anal but I keep a file of current shipping labels for the magazines I receive. When I sent my change of address info by snail mail I pasted an address label to the letter. Seems the mag is pretty regular as to when I receive it each month too. Over all Buzz, A++. |

| | Re: American Iron Magazine Subscription Services I'm with the other guy about when I was charged for my subscription and when I received my first issue. It was pretty close to an 8 week difference. I'm one of those instant gratification type of guys though; if I pay for it I want it now, but understanding there is some process time on things like this I can accept that. Granted 8 weeks is a pretty long time. If there was a way they could close that gap a bit I think things would be good.

This is the reply:
FW: American Iron Magizine subscriptionMonday, November 2, 2009 10:10 AMFrom: "Customer Service" <custsvc@fulcoinc.com>Add sender to ContactsTo: BROBEO@YAHOO.COMHello,
Yes, you are automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. Your first issue will be the January 2010 issue which should arrive by the end of November 09.
Thank you
So I'm good. But I still think anyone that subscribes should receive knowledgement without asking for it. It's just good customer PR. |

But we should look into this. Thanks for the suggestion. |

| | Re: American Iron Magazine Subscription Services I have actually been pretty unhappy with the service that I have gotten so far. I have only been getting the magazine about 8 or 9 months and have had to ask for my copy three times so far, and I have NOT received my February issue yet and I see that it hit news stands today. So it looks like I might be up to number 4 requests. I love the mag, but hate chasing it. I experience a big lag from when I subscribed and got my first issue as well, which I saw another user mention as well. It would be nice to get a better confirmation that your subscription went through and that you will recieving your first issue on X date. They could do a much better job is what it all boils down to. In my opinion anyway, for whatever it is worth. |

| | Re: American Iron Magazine Subscription Services hey buzz,
i have been a subscriber for about 4 years now. of the four i have a complaint about just one year. I did not receive notification that subscription was running out on year 3. all of a sudden, i stopped getting mags. called in and told i was expired!!???!!! re-upped and it took several months to get me started again, so i missed a couple of months and the xmas buyers guide which was offered at the time. I thought it was ridiculous that i wasn't notified. since then, no problems. only other complaint is that when i re-upped this year the card said re-up now and receive thirteen issues instead of 12. so i went on line and re-upped. don't know if by doing it online if i still get thirteen issues.

| | Re: American Iron Magazine Subscription Services I had a similar experience this year. Mag stopped coming, I check and found I had expired and re-upped. Have not received the Feb issue yet, but yesterday I got a notice that my subscription expired. Yer two months late with the notice guys. No problem though, I'll just put the renewal date in my computer. From a business standpoint though, AIM is doing itself a diservice. | | | |
