Knowing we have a lot of American Iron Magazine subscribers here on this forum, I thought I'd take a minute to ask how the subscription company we use is doing?
Because we simply can't handle all the subscription properly ourselves, we do what most magazine publishers do and farm it out. We use an American company in New Jersey.
So how would you rate them? Great, Good, Poor or ???
We really do want to hear what you think. How else can we improve if we have to guess?

They've been doing a good job from my perspective.

Please join me in this prayer daily.
This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me!
What exactly do they do?
After the printing process, I assume the printer gets the address labels from the subscription company and then off to the shipping department.
so the subscription company would keep track of who has, and who hasn't paid?? send notices for renewal etc....
if that sums it up, then so far, no complaints.
My subscription comes due in April, so I shouldnt recieved a notice for a couple more months.

In basic terms, the subscription fulfillment house does the following:
1. Track who has paid and who hasn't,
2. Remind people before their subscription runs out,
3. Gives publisher (and printer) the number of subscribers so we can print the correct number of copies,
4. Handles orders - by mail, on-line and by phone,
5. Handles complaints (missed issues),

Three years of subscriptions have been seamless so far. No complaints about their service here. I do have one about my wife who held on to the renewal notice and caused me to miss 2 months. Can they do something about that? They are from New Jersey.

Not a complaint, just an observation..... I had a brain fart and accidentially let my subscription expire. Did the online credit card renewal on 9-4-09. First issue I received was the December issue on 10-30. I though that was a long time between when my cc was dinged and when I got my first issue, but there is probably more lead time required than I would assume or I just missed a cut-off date or something like that.
What I did like was in mid-October when my withdrawal symptons really hit and I was wondering where my AIM fix was, I checked the online subscriber info site and the system told me my first issue would be the December issue.
To answer your question, how would I rate them? They are fine. I paid my money and got the product I ordered.

Thanks Buzz, I never knew about that part of the magazine industry, actually I dont know much about a lot of industries,, Gotta love the internet for learnin' me all this stuff
I gotta admit, I am a new subscriber, (1st year) but when I did subscribe, I thought they got me started up rather fast....
other mag's I have ordered seems like it took longer to get thier first issue. Long enuogh that I had forgotten I had ordered it.
