Not in person. I love the innovations from Buell but I'd be hard pressed to call it a cafe racer.

Eric Buell may have very good practical reasons for those mega shark air scoops but man they are UGLY! Come on Eric, most bikers want their bikes to look good too. There's a limit to the "form follows function" paradigm. Reminds me of some of the huge early Buell air cleaner boxes.

The concept of the bike is pretty cool though. I'd bet in the hands of a mid to high level rider they could humble a lot of rice burners. I've heard they have a real fat and easy to use midrange. It takes an almost pro level rider to fully utilize the narrow power bands of the 'Busas and such.

Default The red scoop......

The upper red portion of that air scoop looks like a can opener....
IMHO the whole scoop shouldn't stick out past the headlight either, it just looks wrong.
I ponder the aftermarket possibilities to replace this bulbous appendage.

So THAT'S where the prototype radiator scoops for the VRODs went. Man, those guys at HD don't waste anything, do they?

It does look odd, but I'd like to see on in person. A 2D cam shot can make something look very odd, when seeing in person in binocular visions smooths things out. That scoop does seem a bit overkill, to say the least.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Instead of taking the time and money to make that they should just offer the XR1200. Looks way more like a modern cafe and just happens to be way cooler looking
