Kinda new at this ,so if i get it wrong someone will have to 'line me out'.Recently aquirred an old '73 ironhead.Someone really made a mess out of the lower end-cases filled with metal shaving!Have all new parts (also original service manual)for the upper end...tappet blocks,push rods etc.Wondering if anyone out there has any advise on lower end overhaul...things to check,look for,etc.Have done lots of automotive but never a bike,any advise and correspondence would be helpfull.
