Default Share Your Project

I still feel we need more photos here on this site to share.

So my challange is for everyone to share a photo or two and brief description of the most current project.

I am still fiddling around with my 1931 Indian 101 Scout.

I thought I had it all sorted out until the marvelous gas mix they sell here in Connecticut ate into and messed up my float. Once the gasohol did its thing the float got swollen locking itself in place in roughly the middle of the float bowl. Low enough so the carb continues to call for more gas, yet high enough to seriously lean me out at full throttle.

My solution was to pull the bowl and replace the float with a new one made of high tech material. It took less than an hour to take it all apart, clean it up, replace the float and put it all back together.

Then I realized I never measured and set the float height. So I have to pull it apart again. Hopefully in the next week or so if I can get the time away from family and work.

Photos below.

Once I have the float sorted out I plan on adding old style mirrors and some saddlebags. I'll also have to paint the rear crashbars black to match the front ones.

Who's next to share?

Nice bike. Curious if the chrome rear and black front crashbars are correct?

Not nitpicking, just curious.

Beautiful bike and hope you have the carb sorted out.

Default Very nice Indian

You just don't see enough old bikes like this out anymore. Maybe its because the parts are so hard to find the first time around you don't want to take a chance getting run over and have to rebuild it again? NICE work, it looks great!
