Default AIM Sponsored Classic Event

We at American Iron Magazine are in advanced discssions with some AMCA (Antique Motorcycle Club of America) folks about sponsoring part of the huge Rhinebeck NY meet this year.

The event is held June 13-15 at the fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY (About 2 hours north of NYC). Last year was the first "super" event with 5 AMCA chapters combining. It was great (article in AIM) especially their "timeline" with a bike from every year going back farther that I can remember.

We are discussing American Iron Magazine sponsoring and running a bike show there for pre-evo customs. They can be bobbers, cut downs, choppers or whatever, but it needs to be based on a bike built prior to the Harley Evo engine. Big Twins, Ironheads, flatheads, Indians, etc. bring them on.

Many of these bikes could win a chance to be photographed and featured in AIM.

Any recommendations on a name for this event?

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Thumbs up Rhinebeck Aerodrome

Hey Buzz,

I cant remember if the fairgrounds is associated with the Aerodrome. Im drawing a blank. I will say if you've never been up that way I would highly recommend it. Nice riding, good people and a good time. You should definitely experience the Rhinebeck Aerodrome while there too. http://www.oldrhinebeck.org/default.htm
They have all vintage planes and they do have about a dozen old bikes as well. You can take a flight on a vintage 1929 bi-plane which we did and fly over the Hudson. It is awesome. The pilot who was an HD owner as well cut the engine in mid flight to show us how the plane could glide without engine power. It was so peaceful and quiet once he shut her down. I highly recommend it. I for one will be there if dates allow. Keep us posted Buzz. Botz

We named the event the American Iron Magazine Rust or Shine Motorcycle Classic. The event is open to all modified, custom, chopped or competition American motrocycles powered by anything pre-Evo.

The show is on Saturday with some of the winners getting photographed and featured in the magazine. Hope to see lots of our readers and your bikes there.
