Default 50 weight oil

anybody ever run 50 weight oil instead of 60 weight.i had a case gave to me for free.it is havoline oil.

I run straight 50 in the EVO during the summer. 20/50 in the cooler months. Not sure about a Shovel though. Botz

Havoline is good oil..
I used to run straight weights in my pan's & shovels many years ago,, now mostly 20-50 & 25-60..
Do not hesitate to use it in your hot months but I wouldn't in the cool months..
However you can alway use it up by mixing 2 straights and two 20-50's or a combo such as that for example,, in the hot months that is.. Just a thought..

In our 116* Phoenix Valley months I mix three 20-50's and one straight 60 or 70 in both the 93" shovel and the 120" EVO..
