Exclamation Looking for a project bike

Ive been searching the net for some months now with little to no success...Ive been looking for a an older crusier something between the mid 1960's-1978 perferably an Ironhead Sportster...Im currently enrolled in a motorcycle repair program and am looking for something to build from the ground up...if anyone knows any good sites to find older beat up bikes or good salvage yards any information would be greatly appreciated. Live life to the fullest and always enjoy the ride TEX

Check out craigslist.org . I saw a nice 1100 Sporty in the Pittsburgh area for $2500 just the other day. It is a buyers market.

Plenty of Ironhead Sportster Harleys showing up for sale on ebay and craigslist. The trouble with many of them is that the owners think they are worth as much a Harley Knuckleheads. But once in a while you find a good one at a good price.

Here is one that might work for you in the greater NYC area http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/mcy/1385336552.html

Good luck and let us know how you do.
