Default Handshifters

Curious if anyone here besides me and Buzz ride a handshifter Harley or other motorcycle with a foot clutch?

I'm new to this forum, but old to bikes.

Don't have a handshift Harley now, but used to ride a handshift WL 45 years ago. Cool little bike if you weren't in any hurry to get any where.

Don't miss dealing with the foot clutch in traffic.

My first H-D was a '46 Knuck basket case I got in 1969. I was 18 with no money and no job but I managed to put it together using an FL front end I got from a local Outlaw MC member (I never asked where the front end came from), installed 6" over stock slugs to extend the forks a bit, installed a peanut tank and a homemade King/Queen seat. It smoked a little, but ran pretty good. No front brake, so starting off on a hill took some fast co-ordination between rear brake, clutch and finding 1st gear and clutch out. I haven't been on a hand-jammer since 1972, but I'll never forget the fun I had.

I was in deep thought about adding a hand shifter on my 04 sporty. I seen an after market kit that would work but was a little expensive. With only one bike I did not think it would be practical. Heavy traffic would suck. Its also nice to keep both hands on the bars for them sudden curves that are a little sharper then may first appear. I guess with a little practice it would not be to bad. Now you got me thinking again.....
