| | OOC goes budget..? Read in the last issue that OCC has issued four budget models, that were little unexpected as they have been in the 70K area before. things are really changing, indeed. So what will we think about this? |

| | | I'll have to recheck their site, but last time I checked their budget model was about 40k. That is with a Revtech engine (Taiwanese). That may fit someones budget, not mine. |

| | Budget OCC $40,000 budget bike???
Not in my "budget".
I just test rode an'06 Streetglide with a $15,000 price and I thought that was way too high.
Just for kicks I also test rode an '08 Streetglide...$22,000
Wanted to see if the bigger motor and 6 speeds made much of a difference.
My seat of the pants impression was that neither gets out of it's own way very fast.
My lightly modified '02 Lowrider much more responsive and is paid for. |

| | | I saw their new line of bikes at Sturgis. I talked to the salesman and he said they go from $29000 to $ 46000. To me, they won't appeal to the baby boomers as they do not look comfortable at all. They're bar hoppers and that's it. But hey, if you've got the money and that's what you want, go for it.
I'll tell ya, when the Tuttle's stepped on stage to introduce their new line of bikes, you'd think they were rock stars as the crowd went crazy! |

| | And I thought the chopper thing was on its way out.
$40 thou for a "budget" OCC bike. I don't get it. |

| | | OCC bikes I paid 15k for my bike. I can ride it 2-300 miles no problem.
I never could understand spending 40, 50k or more for something you can only ride down the block. I guess it's the prestige of owning a high dollar show piece. I don't really care for OCC style bikes, but if you build it they will come.
To me the OCC thing is about making money and as long they can still sell them why not make them. | | |
