Default how about...

how about followup articles on the cool stuff youve installed?
some of it stinks - tell us what didnt perform and was a nightmare to install
some of it is good - tell us what worked ok and bolted on with a minimum of fuss
some of it is really good - tell us what really was excellent
dont bias your reporting and youll gain cred with your readers, which is waning
your advertisers will respect you
and
you will survive what will be a rapid disintegration of the HD market - and you know it's true, geez, it has already started

these are doggone good ideas

send payments to the wanker c/o the institute of higher edumacation,

wanker - who has to admit even he is making perfect sense, no?

Default color

why the heck would you need to see a tech story in color?
makes no sense and is unnecessary
use the investment you need to make, in improving the magainzes content
not in dressing the pig

what you need to do, Mr. Owner will take an investment and an open mind
- are you ready?
- are you willing?

do you believe?

wanker - who needs to get silly and get back to poking the moe-rons

First of all, I didn't say I wanted the story in color. I stated I would like to see color photos with the tech articles.

Why? Because I would prefer it, that's why.

Default no sense

ok - color for a tech article?

the engine - black or silver
the parts - usually silver/metallic finish
the tools - silver/metallic
the hands - flesh

so why the heck would you need to see this in color?
makes no sense
can you explain why having a tech artciel with color would make any difference?

LOL. Sure I could explain. But fortunately, I don't need your affirmation.

I have a Hammer with a cool yeller handle. Some of my Screw drivers are blue and red. I find em pretty but I dont need to see em in color. Some of the TV wrenches are wearing nice gloves. Mostly black with logos in a number of colors.

You gotta be a little diverse now a days. Some photos have to be in Black and White so the folks that are color blind aint missin out on anything.

I would prefer to not have to flip through 6 pages of advertisments before I get to the table of Contents. That aint going to happen. Someone has to pay the bills.

I would like to see some reader stories. Not just the routes taken but good stories of experiences, Mishaps. Builds gone wrong. Interesting folks you pulled a stool up with. can be just a short column or a few on a page.

Default affirmation?

mmm...good word- you sure YOU not a wanker, there dusty??
well, your certainly a dickhead, but I dont know if your wanker material - your not funny enough

anyway - the problem with articles written by amatuers is that...well.....they are written by amateurs - and I dont know if I want to pay for a magaizne written by folks who are any more amateur than the folks who are already doing it.... you want to pay for rookie material?

Me, no? I dont need to pay for it, I make my own - every day

Default Agree and more

I agree with these comments. I'm retired, can't spend $40,000 on a new truck, let alone a custom bike, but own 2 bikes and my wife has 1. Been riding HD's since 1971. Have a 97, an 01 and 04. Not able to big buck any improvements, certainly can't buy any modern Custom. Always planning chroming in small groupings because of costs. Even had to go very modest for a replacement engine for my 97 Evo. Didn't want to drop 3500 on a fixmeupgrade only to be riding the same ol'block (straight from R&R's options, live very close to them). Looked to AIM for some tips because I wanted to save about 5k in labor and do it myself. Didn't find any articles to help the 'ShadeTreeMCMechanic' so I winged it. Donny and Tom offer the absolute best articles and interests in readers individual problems and projects. Tom encouraged me on doing the engine replacement, with some real strong comments. Made me believe the challenge would definatly pay off. Read the HD Manual, went with my auto mechanics skills and swapped out a tranny and engine - couldn't find any helpful Swap my old crap for a new power house stories. Would liked to have seen one, and I researched back to 1990 looking. I wrote in to one of the email addresses listed telling of the engine/tranny swap, offered to send in an account of the job, easy parts and hard parts, and some tools I bought, maybe some pics that I took during the job-never heard a reply. Doesn't seem like you guys are focusing on the the comman rider's interests. I first started saving AIM since my 2000 sub, liked it so much I found back to 1990 in yearly bundles on ebay. Read just about all of them and have begun my own indexing for past articles. Sure would like to see you come back to the basics like some of those earlier issues and how to's.
