How much information and history can one get from a vin # on a Harley Davidson engine and what internet sites can be used for this purpose?
ie how do you verify the vin# on your bike's engine for accuracy and authenticty?

Good question that I'm sure has been asked a hundred times so shouldn't be too hard to find an answer to. There was one site I found very useful. http://www.hydra-glide.com Sorry to say I don't have an answer for you but I did own a '57FLH and was curious about it's history. I brought it over from the UK about 8 years ago and then sold it three years later.

It shouldn't be too hard to find what your looking for because there is a lot of knowledgable and helpful people here. Should I mention talented too? Maybe even good looking.

Somewhere I have info on the Vin Number explanation but it's sooo simple to google Harley Davidson Vins.. The first couple pages have lotsa good sites for that info..
