I remember reading years ago how Buzz brought a ratty old Panhead to his pal's dyno I think it was in Daytona and his pal increated the power by something like 25% or more by dyno tuning it. I also remember he stuck a bolt through the end of the drag pipes and found another couple of horses.

If you can do that on your bike with a dyno, I'd say it was money well spent.

I'm not sure I would notice a bit more power, but I suspect I might feel that it is running better. Or not

How can you tell if a dyno operator knows what he's doing or just have the tools but no enough skills?

Good question... I kinda want to dyno my bike but not sure if it's worth the $250 I was quoted. I don't want to piss the guy off by asking him if he knows what he's doing. I didn't realize that someone could have a dyno and not know how to work it. Is there any certification that one has to go through to be able to run a dyno correctly?
