Funny...Ford chose Mullaly as CEO, formerly Boeing CEO, with no automotive experience whatsoever. Then he sells Jag and Rover JUST WHEN THEY TURN A PROFIT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A DECADE!

I guess the XR 1200 is on her way here, it's about time. I wonder if the new motor will filter down to other new Sportsters.

The rumor was MV Agusta but that will never happen.

I hear the XR1200 is Europe only for now. What can we do to change that and get a few to stay here in the US where they are made?

So why isn't Harley investing more into Buell?
Sort of looks like it's going no where in a hurry.

I think they should build it or dump it.

Jaguars are to the Brits what Harleys are to Americans. The Jaguar factory is something like 100 years of tradition unhampered by progress. If Tata builds Jaguar they are going to have to build what sells and what sells is a Jaguar that looks like all of the other Jaguars that came before it.

I went over to Vallejo HD the other day to get some parts and although the showroom was packed with all kinds of shiny Harleys my heart was filled with lust at the sight of two of the new Buell 1125's. They're the new Rotax powered Buells. Nothing Harley about 'em but, man, they looked like so much fun....!

The Sportster based Buells have only a cult following among the peg scraper set because they have been down on power. These new 145 hp watercooled bikes are going to put the Buell name in a new light I think.

Good Luck and Happy Trails to Buell

Boy that's the truth! Although Jags are undeniably beautiful and sexy (and I have always loved them) the only thing I could imagine that would be more unreliable than a English built Jaguar would be an Indian built Jaguar.

God Save the Queen!

Under Ford ownership Jaguar reliability improved greatly (also elimination of the use of Lucas "the Prince of Darkness" Electrics). Whether the quality control that Ford put in place remains under Tata is a story yet to be told. However, though Tata sells a ton of vehicles in India they want to join the global automotive market and the price of entry is high quality.
