Hunh? The new Harley 2009 trike has one wheel in the front, unless the photos I saw were printed backward.

What you talking about 2 wheels in the front?

Two in front or two in back; most likely will be way overpriced either way.

Why do you think it will be overpriced?

As I understand it the trike will be $29,000 +.....that, to me, is overpriced.
Our local dealer still has 8 or 9 2008's and one "new" 2007 that haven't sold.
He knocked down the price of the 2007 to $18000; it's a wide-glide and had been $20,000 +.
None of the remaining 2008's have been reduced at all.
He also has a 2005 wide-glide he took in on trade that has obviously been abused from time to time and he still wants $16,500 for it.
On top of all of that, he, and other dealers within riding distance of here; won't give a decent trade-in on your bike either.
That, to me, adds up to the bikes being overpriced.

So,OK...how much would it cost to buy a new '09 Ultra with 103"eng,etc, and then have it converted into a comparible Trike...compared to buying it AS a Trike right from the HD factory ????

Factory made would be cheaper in my opinion; but still way out of my range no matter how badly I wanted one.
My point is that all new bikes are kinda pricy considering how little dealers want to give you for your trade-in.
I test rode a Streetglide last year and after I got the "deal" figure; I didn't even attempt to bargain with him. He was so far out of line it just wasn't worth the effort.
That said; I'm sure good deals can be had....just not in my area it seems.
Guess I'm still p---ed that the local guy was so far off the mark on a scooter that I was interested in.

jmk,

"fair trade" does not exist for bikes, sedans, truck, big wheels, and radio flyers. If you ever went to a new car dealership and got what you thought was a fair trade, they turned it around on the new purchase. You, I, and everyone in this world knows that the best way to recoupe money is to sell outright, the only variable is patience to sit on it to get what it's worth.
