I'd say the changes in what customizing bikes has been over the years. From the bobbers and original choppers where parts were literally chopped off, to the chopper movement of the 60's and 70's and into the big $ customs of a few years agao, to the return of the bobber and bike you can actually ride, and now into the custom baggers.

I think an ongoing story of the very innovative aftermarket people who make a great motorcycle even better running and better looking, and the MOCO realizing it and changing their own philosophy on building scoots.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Look for many of these to be placed on a timeline of sorts in the April issue, which is the kick-off for our 20th year!

Default EPA restrictions...

on both gaseous and sound motorcycle emissions, and how the ever-increasing regulations determine what the Motor Company can build.

I can't agree with this more. Putting bikes in the face of potential riders, via Biker Build-off, American Chopper, and the like, got a LOT of people interested in bikes, starting around ~2000.

Motorcycles were always thought to be ridden by big mean nasty "bikers". All that stuff brought the motorcycling lifestyle into the mainstream. And it doesn't hurt to go into a Harley dealership, and see everything so neat & organized, well-lit, well-stocked, etc.

Hunh? American Iron Magazine has been on the newsstand since it was launched in 1989. Now I'm the first to admit it has not been on as many newsstands as it is now until the mid to late 1990s. But I believe AIM has been the best distributed Harley magazine on the newsstand for almost 10 years.

Are there stores near you that do not carry American Iron Magazine that do sell another other Harley magazine?
