Default Hey folks, I just bought a set of....

BossBags that have been advertised here in AIM. Actually, I ordered them on Monday and here they are here on Thursday. I got them out of the box and "WOW" are they sturdy. Beautifully made and all the hardware to mount them to my street bob. I called the company and had a conversation with the owner(forget his name now) and he was extremely helpfull and had the bags shipped to my house in 3 days. The only problem is that its 10 degrees out there and I won't get to put them on till maybe saturday, I hope.
These bags came with everything including a couple master locks to secure them to the bike.
What a great product. I will try to get them mounted this weekend and take some pics.

StreetBob,

Glad you got the bags already. Just make sure when you put the mounting lugs on the fender struts that you put the 2 wider ones in the proper location. Been a while dont remember but youll see what I mean. ALso the first few times you lock the locking lever in position it may be a bit tight. If you dont have the bag all the way seated on to the lugs they will fight you. Did yours come with the roller bearings that mount on the lower shock bolts? Great idea they have there. BOtz

Hey Bolz.....yes I do see what you mean. You must have a set.
The rollerbearings are there and the mounting instructions as well.
I mounted them yesterday(friday) and I didn't get any pics, but I will.
They look absolutely fantastic.
I got the bike back under cover but I will get some pics and load them up here later.
I actually looked for the ad in the magazine but only found the Leatherpro ad. Looks like the exact same bag and ad since they both advertize with the dude standing on the bags as they are mounted on the bike.
I looked at both companies and only difference I saw between the two was price.
The Leatherpro bags were a little cheaper. Seems like the exact same product though.......

Street Bob, does that mean you are giving up on the Street Glide for now?

Streetbob,

Those bags do look great on the Dyna. I would normally take em off but left em on since they looked so good.Yes they are sister companies. I believe the only difference is the LeatherPro set doesnt come with the lower shock roller bearing supports. At least when I bought mine. AND yes I do have a set...at least thats what my wife says. LOL!!

Tommyglide....yep, not gonna buy the street glide now. We bought a new Ford Edge Limited a couple weeks ago. Got an unbelievable deal on the Ford.
I figure I'll get the street glide in a couple years. We only have a year or so and our house will be paid off and our youngest will be out of high school. We should be freed up to do whatever we choose, so long as we actually still have jobs.
Crazy times we're living in ehh!!!!!!!!!!

Undue financial pressure is never a good thing, so new saddle bags are probably what the Dr ordered. Actually I might seek those you have out as I need a nice set for my 85. I currently have hand made ones that are 20 years old and a little worse for wear.

And, pretty soon the kids will be helping you and Mrs bob out, right?.............Right?

Ha Ha Ha....Tommy, surely you jest..........
Nah, actually our oldest left home a couple years ago and was on his own. We convinced him last year to move back and save his money for a down payment on his own home. He couldn't save enough while paying rent and utilities plus all the other expenses. He did not want to move back home and it really did take some convincing. Its hard to move back home when your out on your own for a couple years. He's 22 now and is the most responsible person you'd ever meet. Saves every dime he makes. He honestly makes me and his mom very proud. Our 16 year old is also a good son but a little more a care free individual. He is the apple of my eye as they both are. Very proud of both my sons.
I highly recomend these bags tho, very very nice set.

It is a blessing to be able to say you are proud of both of the boys, I also am proud of both of my kids, tough times through the teen years, but, like their dad they straightened out. Somewhat. Their dad that is.
Actually we are a lucky family and I realize that everyday.
