Hi there
I mounted a camera to my handle bars using an insulated pipe clamp from the hardware store for 98 cents. I found a quick release for the camera that has a disc that fits the camera and the release mechanism that bolted to the bars. there is a lever that releases the camera when you want it. then all ya gotta do is push the on button and click a shot out the front while on the road. I would slip my hand thru the strap, then disconnect and take pictures while riding,.,.. takes coordination and may not be recomended, but I did it to get some great shots without stopping the whole pack on a ride. when ya get there it comes right off and away ya go! the quick release was called, Zip-Grip. I got mine on e-bay, but I dont know who or where else to get them.(Maybe a camera shop, but I havent looked cuz I got one allready) it mounts with a 1/4" x 20 thread bolt, same as the camera mounting bolt. any camera will work. I like the smaller ones. I used the video function when I was splitting lanes during my comute home one evening... it looks way crazy on film, but sure is fun, and legal here in california.,
The disc in my hand is what threads into the camera.
