Admin Mike,, ShoveMike
Something goofy going on and I don't like it..

How did Cabinet's thread about his incident get re-produced exactly in both General and Sportser sections..

AND DIG THIS----------In the sportser section it's re-produced almost exactly in FOUR MORE DIFF THREADS..

I know I only posted in ONE of them but now my post (the second post) is now in all of them well as everyone else's..
Some of the threads are only shorter than the Original..

How did that happen.?

Me------I would ban and delete.. No mercy..

Hey thanks for getting back to me Mike..

What kind of computer trick did he pull off to enable the re-production of the thread and all the posts in it,, pretty tricky..

Maybe one of the computer whizzes we have on the site can answer that..

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

It's time to weigh in on this. Mr. Martel posted an issue which is of major concern to him. Most of you took a dim view of his situation and were somewhat insulting. You hinted he may have caused the accident in question due to his skill level, and that he might be trying to sue H-D for some "Deep Pocket" money. This may or may not be true, but the place to settle this is in a court of law. We should be more willing to hear all sides of any discussion without getting too personal. I read most of the posts, and I feel Mr. Martel was fairly even in his approach although he held an unpopular opinion (and we are all entitled to have our opinions). I suspect Mr. Martel was looking for some support for his cause, and maybe someone to testify in his behalf -- I really can't say for sure. Mr. Martel was banned from participating on our forum because he was considered a Troll or a SPAMmer, but I think that ban was a little too hasty. None of the content in Mr. Martel's posts contain any SPAM or baiting of our members. I think Mr. Martel should be heard out a little further. I have re-instated him as a member in good standing (call me a bleeding heart liberal). You guys are the experts here (I only play one on the web ), so if I am in error, or if Mr. Martel causes a problem in the future, please let me know. Thanks for you forbearance.
Mike

Hi AdMin Mike

You may have read the last post I sent to Martel where I said he weathered the storm of our doubt pretty well and I also asked him to simply say what he hopes to accomplish..

I am one of those doubters.. Although I also at some point acknowledged that we cannot DISS any weird prob that these devil sickles May present..

It is NOT for the content of his thread that I slammed him..
It is because I figured he played some kinda computer trick to get his original thread RE-produced with all or most of our posts about 4 more times..
It looked to me that given enough time he coulda flooded the whole forum with these Viral type of re-productions..

I know that I only posted ONE time but it was in Each of the re-productions..

I nave no prob with your decision but I did want you to know my original concern..

Frisco:
I understand your concern, and understand why you were taking issue. It all makes sense to me. I am going to have to look up the other threads to see what you are speaking of. I know you didn't want him "off the air" for an opinion that runs counter to what others may hold. You are the first to speak up for anyone that is banned for causing controversy. I too like to hold on to controversial members (probably too long) because I feel, as you do, that everyone has the right to speak their minds. That is good until it becomes a series of personal insults or threats of injury -- then they are banned into the ether.

We will see how this plays out. I removed the ban, and it seems Mr. Martel is continuing to post the same message over again. Hmmmmmm......

I have read Mr. Martels posts and the replies here. It appears he was just looking for someone else who may have a similar experience with the new XR1200 front brakes. I googled this problem and found several posts about the XR1200 brakes and how good they were. I also found a post by Mr. Martel on the Hot Bike website with what looks like a cut and paste he made here or vise/versa. In my opinion he is just trying to alert XR1200 owners what he thinks maybe a problem and is looking for support.

Or he is a spammer but doesn't look like it at this point. If this is a problem it will surface and get press on the Web.

The only thing that bothered me was his insistance on getting e-mails to send the info. seems like there is a place he could post that info that the public can view anonomously. like maybe MySpace or FaceBook.

Another thing mentioned was a possible deffective hydraulic release valve.... Is there even one on that bike, or any other bike for that matter? All I could find about hydraulic release valves was for an industrial application for emergency locking brakes on heavy equipment.
