Default Struck Deer Today

After having a great few days of riding and attending the Rhinebeck event coming home today turned to sh*t. Seems my luck is catching up with me. Struck a deer today on Rte22 south about 11AM. Deer came out of the bush and I almost got around it but no good. Caught the ass end and it slammed me to the ground. Skidded on the blacktop for awhile then ended up in a corn field. My riding buddy tried to get through the mess and couldnt also going down. We're both beat up real good. No broken bones on me and some road rash. My buddy has severe road rash and is a mess too. I cant walk too good. Deer is dead and my new bike is a mess. After the left turner two summers ago and now this I may need a break. Im fed up. My old Sturgis never did this to me riding it for 18 years. Beginning to think the Sturgis is cursing the new ones. Will see bike better tomorrow when it gets here. Take care guys. Botz

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that! I'm glad you didn't get hurt any worse than you did. I hope everything goes OK with the bike. God bless you and your family and I hope you get healed up really quick. Sincerely: Shovelmike.

Dang Botz, you've had a bad streak here. The good thing...you and your buddy are still alive and able to talk about it. I wish you the best and hope you and your riding buddy recover fast. God Bless, Clif

Botz,
