Default Replacement Scoot

Finally picked up the replacement 09 Street Glide. Had a buddy ride it over to my indy shop for me. Gonna have my D&D pipes put on, heavy breather and a PC V installed while I heal. I wanted to do the mods myself but have been told I'm not letting my leg heal properly so I have to back off using it. Wish me luck with this bike....I need it. BOtz

Yep, take your time healing so you don't have any issues in a few months. Right after your friend Bob had his incident in Daytona my main riding buddy fractured his spine on a damn 4 wheeler! Sold his bike seeing as he won't be on it for at least a year. After surgery and a bunch or rods/screws put into his back he's been out of the brace for about 4 months now, but still hasn't thrown his leg over a bike. He is one of the greatest guys I know and am really hoping he is able to ride again, but if he doesn't I'll understand why.. He's lucky not to be paralyzed. Hope you recover back to your oldself and don't have anything else happen!

Botz.. good luck with the new scoot and don't rush anything. Heal properly so you can enjoy riding. Nothing like rushing back, only be sidelined once more.

Man, I know it's hard paying someone else to do what you would rather be doing yourself....more a pride issue that a money one. You'll be much better off letting yourself heal properly (Here I am giving you the same speech my wife/nurse has to give me real often).

I just hope this bike is like my last one. That bike handled beautifully. Thanks for the good luck wishes. As soon as I'm well enough, heading up to the Adirondacks. Great place to unwind. Botz

I don't know the story behind your injury but I hope you heal up fast. Its always better to take it easy and heal up fast vs slow n painfull heal.

I think you'll love the new 09 FLHs. I know I love mine, HD did a great job on the redesign.

Best wishes Botzman,
After my tumble years ago, I was test riding replacement bikes before I could bend my knee.... had to have the salesman kick start for me, untill I realized I was just gonna hafta go to an electric start.

Good luck, and hang in there.

Best to ya Botz. Better to wait than to rush, got a lot of time to heal right, and enjoy the ride than to rush and feel like mud when you're going down the road.
