OK, I guess it's time for me to finally pipe in. We added the catalog to this one issue for a number of reasons. One is to test the concept to see if it works for the readers and for the advertisers. Another is to add to the value of the magazine without having to increase the cost to our readers. Please note we still offered the same excellent editorial, tech, bikes, reviews, etc AND a large page count even excluding the insert. AND we didn't bang the page count on the cover as felt the number was distorted by ICON's ads.
Bottonm line, it's good to know or readers are as passionate about American Iron Magazine as you all appear to be. Thanks.

I've bought several items from the advertisers in AI. It's what makes this mag so great, I get the tech stuff I want, and accessories as a bonus. Can't understand the complaint!!!!! Location really doesn't concern me. Publishing a predominate mag requires big bucks....more than what subscription rates will cover.

I wonder if it could have been done as a seperate item and included in the mailing baggie with the value and cost issues kept in mind? But it's all good to me. As long as I can keep seeing great bikes and reading great tech I'm happy.
I also wonder if some people chose to like it or not because of what the catalog was about? For those looking for biker apparel probably liked it and those that aren't weren't such fans. But the same could be said for someone looking for seats, bike luggage, boots, tools, etc.

Can't comment on the June issue. Doesn't arrive this far North until sometime this week. I can't wait. But, on the ads I have to side with AIM. Chaps or choppers. A magazine this good costs money and companies will pay it to get thier name in front of us. Besides, if it wasn't for the ad in the middle of Donny's techline in the May issue I would never know I need 100 spoke wheels along with the big bore kit, headwork and S&S cams. Man, I need another job to support this addiction, ah, I mean passion.

If I like it I look
If I'm interested I read it
If it annoys me I trash it
AI is the only rag I look at anymore
