| | Re: 2010 Harleys Things are gonna get interesting at our local dealr now.
He still has an unsold 2007 WideGlide; as well as 11 unsold 2009's, including Sportsters (3), CVO dyna(1), Electra Glide Standard(1), Ultra Classic(2), Heritage Softtail Classic(1), etc, plus 20 or so used bikes.
This dealer supposedly has been in some financial trouble the last year or so; but his prices don't reflect any serious desire to "sell", nor do his trade in allowances.
Curious to see what will happen when his 2010's begin arriving. |

| | Re: 2010 Harleys For me, the 2010 bike line up seems "flat". Perhaps falling into the rumormill information that was floating around built up my expectations. But then I guess with lots of dealers with plenty of 09's on the floor it seemed the better business decision................interesting to see have the sale numbers turhout over time. |

| | Re: 2010 Harleys Well, I checked the new 2010 Superglide Custom against the 2009 Lowrider. I was curious after one of the key features of the new bike was a "low adjustable suspension".
The ground clearance of the SGC is 4.6 inches versus 4.92 for the old Lowrider. This, of course decreased the lean angle of the new SGC to 29.5/30.9 compared to 31/30.5 for the Lowrider. Not much, but different.
The steering head rake is the same at 29 degrees although the trail is different; 4.7 for the SGC with the old Lowrider at 4.5.
The wheelbase of the new SGC is 64.2 or 0.4 inches shorter than the Lowrider at 64.6.
The seat height unladen for the Super Glide is 26.5 whereas the unladen height of the '09 Lowrider was 26.8.
It looks like the new Super Glide Custom is the old Lowrider. Or close enough.
There are no tachometers on any but a few bikes. Getting rid of the Lowrider got rid of the only tachometer in the Dyna models. The V-rods have tachs and in the touring models, only the Street Glide, Road Glide and Electra Glides have tachs. None of the softails have tachs, either. Only the XR1200 in the Sportsters has a tach.

| | Re: 2010 Harleys With the "Darkness" of the Iron being so well accepted I'm suprised HD didn't do more to black out the Nightster like give it a black motor. I'm still suprised they got rid of the Night Train and what is with all the purple er I mean black ice. |

| | Re: 2010 Harleys Local dealer has 14 of the 2010's being set up as of yesterday. This morning he had one Sportster and one Wideglide done and on display. This will give him a total of 45 bikes for sale...that's used, new 2009's, new 2010.s and still the one new 2007 Wideglide.
I think he's gonna have his hands full getting these all sold......expecially since the prices are high, trade in allowance bad, the economy bad, and local riders getting tired of spending $20,000 and then having to spend a couple of grand more to get'em to run "right". | | | |
