Default Big Bear

Attended Myrtle Beach bike week. Could not wait to check out the Big Bear display, hoping there was a "Screamin Demon" on display. There was 2 of them there. My heart pounded, I wanted one.
Went to a local bank in Myrtle Beach, recieved a loan, delivered Cashier's Check to Rep. at display on same day, Friday,May 19th.. Rode bike from them to my trailer, came home Sat.. Message on my machine from Big Bear Rep. in California stating check and other items stolen from them in Myrtle Beach. Called bank, standard practice will reissue new check in 90 days. Owner (Kevin)first said if he had to wait 90 days he wanted bike back. Thought #1, I paid them, whatever happened to check after that is not my fault.
Meantime it is June 06 and have not received MSO from Big Bear so I can not title it, can not ride it. Been in garage since May 20th. Many heated phone calls to bank and Big Bear, suppose to get MSO this Thursday June 8th. Will wait and see.
Was so excited to get the bike (dream), now just pissed. Have not even got a "Thank You" from Big Bear. Any thoughts?
Just had to get it out of system before I explode.

Gotta agree with you, man. What happened to the check after you gave it to them is not your problem. So you paid for it, it's yours. But then I'm not a lawyer, which is whom you need to be talking to...

Ha, I bet a dime to a doughtnut Majic is right...
You got a receipt right,, and other paperwork too showing that you bought bike legally and in good faith...
I would NOT under any circumstances give the bike back,, unless of course you are ordered by the court and after your account has been re-imbursed... Jeeeezzeez, doesn't that just piss ya off...!!

If they gave you a receipt for payment big bear is s.o.l. They would lose in a court of law hands down! Now if they want to play games you could sue them for a variety of reasons. Let the games begin! ! !

Hey guys, this is Kevin from BBC.
unfortunately we got robbed in Myrtle. first time that has happened.
more unfortunately is this situation with Gerald.
we were instructed by his bank (the leinholder) to send the paperwork to the bank directly, then they changed their minds and decided to have us send the paperwork to the customer. this took 2 weeks.

of course we appreciate your business very much so. and we will continue to support you (Gerald) to the high standards we pride our selves in.

and again, i apologize for this inconveince.

your MSO's were shipped out today red label.

if you have any questions or comments - please call me directly. 909.878.4340.

Nice to know Kevin (owner of Big Bear Choppers) cares enough to make things right even though he might be out of the money. I've met Kevin a few times and he stricks me a good guy.

Also goes to show you never know who is lurking around reading this stuff on line.

That is not quite how things went, but received papers today, titled, insured, and on the road.
Quite an amazing bike, and what a head turner!!
Just hope all involved learned some lessons. Know I did.
What happened, happened. Its in the past now.
Still love the bike.
Kevin, if ya read this, no bad blood on my part. Hope to do business with ya again soon.

Thanks
Rob
