Man, I am sorry to hear about Joe's accident, I sat here and prayed for him the moment I read the post. Tell him that Shovelmike and family are thinking of him and praying on his behalf.
It was much more than luck that kept him alive. God didn't just create us and then forget us he's got his hand of protection on us.
The wife and I had a near miss a couple of weeks ago, just cruising along a 2 lane highway. We approached a highway junction and a tractor trailer rig was waiting to make a left turn. I was keeping an eye on him and lo and behold he turned across our path. I didn't have to come to a complete stop to avoid him but I was certainly into the brakes hard enough to have the tires howling. My wife did a commendable job in a very tense situation, she wrapped her arms tightly around me and trusted my years of experience and God's help to ride it out. WHEW, those loonies out there! No wonder my hair is turning so gray.

Man,I hate to hear about another rider being taken out by a brainless left turner (been there, done that) Here's hoping Joe makes a speedy & complete recovery with no long lasting effects.

Wow...NOT GOOD. What is good is he is still here with us. I wish you the very best JP and hope you heal fine and quickly. It's been 4 years since my left turner and hope it never happens again, or to anyone. I wish you the very best! Clif

Good grief! I didnt realize how many of us got hit by left turners. Mine almost cost me my left leg below the knee. Hang in there Joe, you got a lot of good folks out here on your side.
