Default Anyone know how to get a jack under flstc

I have a 2007 flstc. When on kickstand and with the guards on frame to protect shocks underneath Im left with no room to get a jack underneath it.
I would like to do my own fluid changes but very difficult to get a jack underneath this bike.Anyone have any ideas how to get a jack underneath this bike? Any assistance appreciated.

The dressers sit too low to get my jack under, I have to carefully roll it onto a 2x4 laid flat, gives just enough height to get the jack under.

Ya beat me to it Shovelmike!!
I use 2x10's approx 12" long ea. to roll my bike up onto. I chamfered the edge for the heck of it too.
that extra 1-1/2" is just enuff to do the trick.
I throw 3 on the ground... one in front of each tire and one for the jiffy stand....

Now that makes a lot of sense. Why didn't I think of that? I have problems getting my jack under my Dyna.

Make note to self Buy a 2"X10"X3' and cut to fit.
Solves a big problem I have had

Scott you and Mike are smart fellers!

I have had to put the bike directly over the sewer drain in the garage, just enough room to get the jack under.

Which jack are you guys using? The red steal sears version?

I have, dont use much being I hv the lift now, a yellow alum sears jack and its good. 4" clearance so it goes under anything. Used mostly now for washing the bike.

And as said I mostly use this for wrenching

If you want a better jack (not lift)... go with the J&S or Pitbull. They are AWESOME!

My BMC is only 3" off the asphalt, so nothing out there fits under there. Even a scissor jack that folds down real small wont fit. When I go over a speed bump, I literally have to stop the bike, stand up, straddling the bike and 'walk' it over the bump.

Glad our ideas helped...that's what this forum is all about! spreading good ideas around to make life easier for all.

Yes Chris, I have the red steel Sears jack and use it most of the time. The first motorcycle lift I bought was the Easy Lift from Easyriders Products and it is still very handy. A good friend of mine brought his American Iron Horse Slammer over so that I could diagnose a noise in it as well as show him how to check primary chain tension and change the fluids. As low as that bike sits it was handiest to use the Easylift...basically a rectangle of strong tubing with adjustment for height and a 3 ft. length of tube for levering the bike up. It breaks down to lay flat for easy transport.
A lift table would be very nice on occasion but in the way for the rest of the time.
