Let me start out this way...
I've always wanted to ride out to the Grand Canyon..sooooo...
I leave my house in N.E. Ohio, ride across PA., Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia to meet up with a friend. We shared a great meal and got a good nights rest. Got up early and began our treck across these great United States.
We went across Virginia and the entered Tennessee...
Then into Arkansas...
Then into Oklahoma...
And...
and..

then finally into....
We even crossed th Continental Divide...
I met up with some other friends and he began to take us around the Mesa area (since thats where he lives).
Got some cool shots of desert life...

.
This was the last pic before my accident.
We pulled over to get a nice clear shot of a side of a mountain and I thought that a spot up the road where we were was a little better. I look in my mirror and see nothing and begin my u-turn, without turning my head and actually looking the opposite way and pulled out right in front of an oncoming car.... you guest it.... WHAM!!!!! Got hit smack in the middle of the bike.
Bottom line is.... no broken bones, but lots of bruising and some road rash. The guy driving saw us pulled over and slowed down... Thank GOD.
Broke the first cardinal rule... LOOK WHERE YOUR GOING.
The bike is still in Az. I had to fly home. Will get the bike shipped home after repairs. I'll heal up just fine, lots of bruises and sore muscles, but OK.
