Thanks for the replys. Most posters said they've seen a very healthy presence of bikes this year (HD & others) in there areas of the country. Thats a positive sign. But I'm still in denial here that I've seen a substantial drop in motorcycle sightings this year. Maybe because my area (i.e manufacturing dominant) is so depressed? Thanks for all the feedback. Hopefully see you on the road!

The only shirt I'll buy from H-D is off the clearance rack on a sale day!! We usually go over to Daytona on the last weekend and get the shirts 3/$25 or 4/$25. You know, brother wants one, kids want one....

I've seen bikes on the road lately that I haven't seen in over 10 years.

Hey Agent Orange, howdy from Arvada. I agree. We have a lot of bikes here. But being older and wiser I have learned about the physics of friction. I can put all the cold gear on that I own. Being sorta warm wearing all that is one thing, having 0 traction is another. I've spent a life time waiting for my first Harley. I don't feel like ruining it so I can say I always ride... I do ride in cold or wet weather. Ice and slush no thanks. In Colorado it snows-bad. Then during the day it melts. Then it freezes up again when the sun goes down. Nothing short of outriggers and spiked tires can keep you on the straight and narrow. I will ride it because I like to ride. I bought it to take wear and tear off of my 4x4 and save gas. And I didn't buy a bike just to keep it in the Tuff Shed or trailer it to some rally. I can barely convince my wife that it is safe during the Summer. I could never sell the idea of riding in bad weather. I'm not a fair weather rider. But I am not insane either!

Lotsa bikes this week in Vegas, it's Las Vegas Bikefest. Saw thousands of bikes yesterday.

I am somewhat disappointed in HOG, they don't have this event on their event calendar. Or maybe my inept computer skills just wouldn't allow me to find it. Any way it looks like the word got out.

At Street Vibes last weekend in Reno, I looked up and down the street for them, and ended up finding them at the Reno Harley Dealer across town. The guy said due to cut backs, they 'might not' be in Vegas, as well as other events, and to check the website. So if it aint on the website, they aint there. The weren't in Laughlin either.

I think they may have been at LV Harley, they had a stage set up there and numerous vendors.

I was riding Saturday and I was the only rider I saw. 40*F and dry roads.
