Default Sears Jack

Any one else buy/use this jack? Does it fit a 2007 SuperGlide?

I have the first motorcycle jack that Sears came out with a few years back.My jack looks similar to the one on the link. Price was about the same. I had an '81 Super Glide that I turned into an FLH and it lifted both versions of the bike without any problems.

I have an older version of this jack too. Looks the same though. On my 91 Dyna the oil tank sat below the lower frame rails. If you didnt position the jack just right it would rock on the jack. Dont know if the newer dynas are the same but just throwing it out there.

I can't tell from the b/w pic., but I have the red/black one with a "t" handle from Sears. I got mine on sale for about $60. I keep my Electraglide on it all the time without using the lock (I know, I should). It also slides under my '92 Dyna. I think they are a good value for the price.

The bar across the front of the jack is going to hit the kickstand before the jack slides all the way under the bike. You will have to have someone hold the bike upright and raise the kickstand before it can be positioned.
This jack will position on the oil pan that hangs under the frame on an '07 Dyna and that is not recommended. You will need adapters and they will hang too low to get the jack under the bike. And the adapters will delaminate and try to dump your bike off the jack.
All of this has happened to me with a similar looking jack from Northern tools.
These work fine on touring bikes because of the position of the kickstand and the frame rails.
Unless Sears has upgraded this jack to work on Dynas, it will take some adjustments to make it work.

After I read your post I remembered that $60 is all I paid for mine as well. If I remember correctly the store was out of them when I got there. They let me pay for one and called me when it came in. I got a real good deal on a "platform" (?) motorcycle lift from Habor Freight this year. This is the kind of lift that the whole motorcycle can be push on to. It has the removable rear floor panel to work on the back wheel. I am going to keep my trusty Sears to work on the front wheel and anything else I might need it for.

I have the yellow Sears jack. A little bit better. I got it on sale off Sears website for $90. Good jack. Tbone hit the nail right on the head though. Harley sells wood adapters that go on the bottom of your frame rails so you'll clear the kickstand and stuff hanging down there but then you don't have enough clearance to get the jack under the frame and adpaters. I made my own wood adapters and small ramps out of 2x6's to get the bike up high enough to get the jack under the bike. No big deal. I think these jacks were originally designed for car trannys but they work for a lot of things.

I've been using one on My Fatboy for several years with no problems. Now that I've got a FXD, I've got to figure out a way to make the new bike more stable on it. Only used it once with the Dyna.

I had to remove the rubber pads on the lift for it to work on my 07' dyna, but once the rubbers were removed from the rails, it works perfectly!

How old is this?
It looks just like my Larin that I've had since 2000. One exception, the lift rails on mine have a piece of cold rolled steel (Or round bar)at each end of the rail to keep the frame from being able to slide too far. It helps and hurts. A little wider wheel base wouldn't hurt.
I have a difficult time positioning it under my '94ultra.
For the '03 heritage, I have to put a 2" block on the floor, and roll the rear wheel on it to have the ground clearance to get under it. Once there, it fits the frame like a glove.
I can tell you I have used my lift a ton, and have used it as a trans jack too, with no problems. I wish the side rails that lock the lift were better made, but they work. The pulling handle was useless to me, but with the bike on it correctly, you won't need one.
I know these aren't the bikes or exact lift you asked about, but I felt I should mention. Personally, I'd look for the later, or better made model. The yellow one, I think. Good luck...and be careful...
