Warm Breezes are a plenty here in Florida!! Its kind of strange now that I moved to Florida, no snow and I can ride all year. Moved from New York basicly becauee I want to ride all year. MY Wife doesnt know the real reason why I made the entire family move here. Kind of told her I was sick of my job (which is true) But made good money in NY but I couldnt ride in the snow!! See check this out and let me know if you think I am out of my mind; Rode all my life, mini-bikes as a kid, dirt bikes as I got older then a Harley when I was 18 (Now 42). Got married at 23 years old had a bike and got hit by a car on the Expressway. Ok I was fine except for a few bruises and some tar in my ass. That was in 1985, I picked up the bike from the expressway and rode myself to the hospital with wobbly front end. Well I fixed the bike and then sold it and bought another one in 1986. Sold that because I needed tghe money since I was young with no money and was about to have a baby. Told the wife when we have the money I WILL BUY another bike. Well it took me along time to get back onto my feet. Now 2003 comes rolling around and I got myself a few bucks and went to the Harley Dealer (Every Year I went to LOOK) but this year I did more than look and plucked down a few bucks and bought myself a 2003 Sporty. Well against a few friends suggestions of not buying a sporty I went ahead and bought it any way. See they said bujy a bigger bike and I said NO. I will admit that I was a bit nervous after not riding since 1986 and wanted to make sure I was ok before I bought something else. Well 2005 comes rolling around and I got tired of the sporty and sold it and bought a Flstni. Well see my father passed away in 2004 and he and I always dreamed of moving to Florida but he never had the chance to do this, his brother also wanted to move to Florida and he died the year before my father. As a kid my father always took me to Florida and I loved it as well. Now I figured hey what the hell You only live once and why wait to move to Florida when you could die tomorrow!!! Now I LOVE MY HOG and I love the bugs in my teeth!! HAHAHA. I get a whim and take a trip to Florida to see a friend and check out the area. I go to Florida in the winter of 2004 and find myself a house, I fly back to NY to get my wife and kids so they can see what I saw in the neighborhood. They liked it and we went back to NY and come back to buy a house. Well we buy this house, sell the house in NY. I hire a mover to move all my stuff and have my wife drive her car and her brother drives my truck to Florida with the kids and the dog. Well my wife asks me how am I going to get the bike to Florida!!!!! Asks me if I am going to put it on the moving truck or am I going to hire a motorcycle transport to move it there. I said NOBODY touches this bike and I will ride it there!!! Well I rode the bike there, had to make a few stops because of a few heavy rain storms but I got there in one piece. GREAT RIDE!!!!!! I would definatly do that again anytime any place. I told her the first time I ride the bike when I get to Florida after we settle in I am going to find myself a palm tree to sit under and eat a nice big sandwiche and have a noce cold beer. Well I did just that and it was the best dam cold beer I ever had, sandwiche wasnt bad either!!! Now with what I did what do you think about this? Am I crazy because this bike has taken over my life as well as living my dream in Florida??

ILMH.....

Anywhere near Palm Coast FL? A buddy O mine just made the same move as you about a year ago. He lived on Long Island and is a great bike wrench who worked over at EC Superbikes for years. Now living down by you riding all year round. Couldnt be happier. Hey...if ya ever need a good wrench he's building bikes out of his garage. Doing repairs also. He knows his SH** and is a stand up guy. Also does bike towing. Tony Pro's Motorcycle Towing. Glad your living large down south.

You do what you gotta do! Nice ride. Samich. Beer. Palm Tree. Wife and Kids happy. Rover chasing the waves. Need you even ask? I ride year round in Minnesota. Hit them slick spots once in a while. Go weeks or months without seeing another bike on the tar. All the "Summer Time Girls" have em packed away. Folks in 4 legged rides looking down their long noses with the windows up heat blastin away. Me. Nuttin better then a cold night stars over the head and the steady rumble and vib to let me know I am still alive. Warmth and Palm Trees. You lucky Bas....!

Frisco: Mortgage is paid in full, paid cash for house, house in NY was worth alot more than what I paid in Fla. Food, no problem still have money left over from sale of house in NY. Kids are healthy but they miss NY. (TO BAD)!!!!
Botz: Yes actually not to far from West Palm. Port St Lucie actually, about 45 minutes away from West Palm.
JC: As for Rover, I had to make a deal with wife. She said she would not go unless I bought a inground pool with a hot tub, so I did that. Rover will NOT go in the pool and he is a Golden retreiver, go figure??? Kids said DADDY, if we go can we get a new puppy !! I gave them that, they wanted a rat dog a Yorkie and he went into the pool (only cause Rover pushed him in) !!!!
MYT: Yeah I think yer right, it is in the blood....

When I first got to Florida in July, there was a rally called the National Roundup. It is the largest rally for minority motorcyclists in America( So I am Told) Well being I am white I was told by many DONT GO!!! Well I went any way because do I care what others think??? Well I get there and sure enough there was alot of people and I am basicly one of the few white guys there. Harley has there display up and I go and get my FREE pin where there is test rides. Well I go to test a bike, I wanted to ride the V-Rod. Well since there is a NO HELMET law I naturally dont have a helmet with me. HD tells me I cant ride unless I have a helmet, so I dont get to ride the V-Rod!!! Well any ways back to being the only white guy, I guess when you ride a HD color doesnt matter because I had no problems meeting people. Wouldnt it be nice if the whole world was color blind!!! Now I cant wait for Bike Week in Daytona.
