Things are picking up in the construction trades a bit, it's been a rough go this year and really the last 3-4. A steady decline since about 05.

@ Twin- The Left started on Bush before he took office and still have not let off.

@Pat- The poll was not how did we get here because there is plenty of blame to go around starting with the community re-investment act passed by Congress which required the banks to make questionable loans. The poll focus's on whether we are going in the right direction.

I am surprised that as a Marine you didn't recognize the uniform Glen Beck is wearing on the cover of his book "Arguing With Idiots". It is a USSR uniform not a Nazi uniform. Remember it was the Left who kept putting Bush in a Nazi uniform complete with Hitler mustache. Were you complaining then? Bet not. The cover of Becks book, with Beck in the Soviet uniform, is called satire which I am sure is just as lost on you as was what uniform it actually is.

As far as Military linage my Paternal Grand Father served in WWI and was blinded by mustard gas. My Maternal Grandfather served in WWII and my Father Fought in Korea from the Pusan Perimeter to the Yalu and was there for the "Million Screaming Chinese" who crossed the border to assist their Communist Brothers. 3 out of 4 of his sons served in the Military. None of said family members would be happy with this great Republic heading down the Socialist path to ruin.

As for Haiburton- Name me another company who had the resources to handle the necessary tasks and I might give in a little on that one. Of course during the Congressional Hearings on it none of the Democrats could, but maybe you can.

On Rush and his Drug Problem- I was very much in favor of Rush doing time for his Drug abuse.

You might fall into that category but I don't. I have said for years that the "Ruling Class" does not represent "We The People". And that ALL the Bums should be thrown out. My problem is that turning to Socialism/Fascism is definitely not the answer as it gives more to the ruling class and less to the people. Remember it was GWB who initiated this March to Socialism, Obama just accelerated it. As Rahm Emanuel said "Don't Waste a Crisis". Well the Obama Cartel is sure trying to not waste this one. Yes we will All go over the Abyss if you set on your hands and do nothing but wax semi-eloquently about lemmings ect and not do anything about it. Thank you Frisco. While I agree you can not convince someone with facts when there mind is made up but my Father taught me years ago if you let a lie go unchallenged long enough, the lie becomes fact. Therefore I challenge all distortions of the truth.

You and I have both discussed the problems with both Dems and Repubs and the horrible choice between McCain and Obama. Those who have been around I am sure will remember that we both felt McCain was just barely the lesser of two evils. Only so because he would at least fought the Terrorists and not appease them. And that the Republican Congress lost their way. All of the Great things Democrats praise Bill Clinton for were a product of the Contract with America. Welfare Reform, Balanced Budget etc that were forced on Clinton but when they had all the Marbles (House, Senate and the Presidency) they behaved as bad as the Dems. If someone is looking for lemmings they won't find them at your house or mine

I saw his motorcade when it came to DIA for the DNC convention. There were so many motorcycles, ambulances, police cars, SWAT, secret service, etc. etc. Dude you are not even elected yet! Rent a car or something! His "presence" shut down most of Denver. He acts like he is bigger than life. He is not common folk. Heck he's not even a Armed Services Veteran!

But he did give the green light to terminate those idiot pirates.

OK Mr. Researcher was this "False Info" the same info that the Intelligence Agency's of France, England, Israel, Germany and the rest of the free world had that said the same thing as our own CIA said? Or maybe the same info that President Clinton had when he said they had Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Bill Clinton changed the banking rules for his buddies and that was the start of the downfall. The Community Re-investment Act was put in by President Carter who may have been the worst President in our history but was pushed to grotesque proportions by the Clinton Admin with help from Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and ACORN. ACORN bussed people in and took over Bank board meetings and literally held them hostage until they agreed to acquiesce. Name me one banking rule that Regan changed that led to the current Banking Crisis. Just one.


You really make my point about the left and their culpability in the current crisis. You said "At the 1999 time it was warned this would happen". Bush and his Admin tried to get this under control since 2002. He should have tried harder to the point of even costing him the election if necessary but he didn't. That was his bad. But for Billy Boy Clinton and his Wife, Barney Frank and Dodd to Blame Bush is like blaming the the guy who was yelling FIRE that the building burned because he didn't yell loud enough.

Bush did enough wrong, harp on those things that were his fault!
