| | Harley Museum Well, I'm here in Milwaukee. I had to come up for a funeral. My brother's wife took ill and died of cancer in a short time. All the services are done now and I have today to stay here before going home.
I'm thinking of going to the Harley Davidson Museum today.
It's cold and raining. It rained all the way on the entire drive up. I hope it clears up for the drive home.

| | Re: Harley Museum Sorry to hear of your loss. Just went to a funeral last week as well.
You absolutely must visit the museum, and eat at motor restaurant. Its a world class place. I just hope you can enjoy it after the reason you went in the first place.
Really, you should not miss this opportunity. |

| | Re: Harley Museum My condolenses to your family . Wish we could all stay around forever .
My wife and I visited Milwaukee this summer and had a great time .
Being a builder I really apreciate the archetecture . Great restaurants and bars . We stayed at the new Iron Horse Hotel just a block away from the Museum . We ended up staying an extra 2 days .

You should have mentioned that you were coming up. I live about an hour away from there, and would have gladly come down just to meet you. Well anyway ... I spoke too late.
Take care and have a safe journey back home.

| | Re: Harley Museum I'm sorry for your loss Tbone.
I just lost my father in April of lung & spine cancer. I spent my last day with him on his 59th bday. There isn't a day since then that I don't think of him. When he got cancer I got him some livestrong information and yellow braclets. I still till this day wear it every day. Its my way of paying tribute to him.
I feel your pain and I will pray for your families strength in during these trying times.

| | Re: Harley Museum Thanks everyone for your sympathy. It was pretty tough. It was so sudden my brother wasn't prepared at all. He's doing well as can be expected although I expect there will be some rough times ahead when he gets home. They were married for 28 years and very close.
Chipster,
We were in such a whirlwind with everything happening so fast that I didn't think about posting here where you might have known about us being in Milwaukee. I didn't even know what was going to take place when we got there and it is just chance that I wound up with enough time to visit the museum. I wish we could have gotten together.
I did visit the museum with my brother's blessing and it was pretty nice. The cafe was good and had a great menu. I drank the Lake Street Brewery Motor Oil beer. It looked like motor oil - used motor oil. It was pretty tasty although I admit I am not a drinker and definitely not a beer connoisseur. Then I had the Sprecher Gasoline beer. It was pretty tasty, too. I'll put some of the pictures on later. We just arrived home today and I"m a little tired.
