Default Used Harleys from Eaglerider

I took a look at some they have for sale. They look pretty good, but some of the mileages are up there compared to same year private partys.
I was just wondering if anyone has purchased from them and what kind of luck they might have had. I was looking at 08 Road Kings.

I was looking at Road Kings and they were all $15995. They had way more Road King Classics and I did not find out the price on them. The mileages or a few i looked at were from 12K-24K. They price the models and you try to find a low mileage one and go from there. It doesn't matter about the miles price wise.

Seems they should sell for less than that.

I can find Road Kings for less around here and most have less miles. My only problem with buying one is you know they have been "rode like you rented it" as opposed to an owner who might have taken better care of it. JMO but unless it was a Deal, I wouldn't go that route.

I'm with you SB; I've looked at their bikes several times, but their prices are steep especially for as many miles that are on some of their bikes.

IMPO I wouldn't buy a bike a from them for the simple fact their prices are high, look on craigslist I think you'll find a much better deal.

You guys think the way I do. The prices are too high for the mileage. The ones they had on the floor weren't in any obvious disrepair though. I took a flashlite and looked them over pretty well. The only real maintenance flaw I spotted was one had a belt that was too loose.

I was just wondering if anyone had bought one though and if it held up alright. In my area of the country, Eaglerider sells to HD dealers from there retired fleet. I know the prices have to be wholesale to them or better or it would make no sense for the dealers to buy.

The economy is in the dumps and there is a small market still on newer bikes, but those that buy are looking for a deal and when they find one, jumping on it.

I took my Dyna out for a 2 hour run this morning and the whole time I was riding, I kept asking myself, do I really need a second bike and would I jump on it and cover a bunch of distance to make it worthwhile. I am coming up with NO, I can ride that Dyna and not get fatigued and just where is it I need to go anyway.

RB, My Wife wants me to get an Electra Glide and I would like to have one. But I told her that the only way I would get one is if I keep my Super Glide. Not getting rid of it. Once the money gets better I will consider an older Electra Glide but only after I have the Super Glide exactly where I want it. I ride my bike everywhere. Many times my Wife and Daughter go in the car and I go on my bike. I love riding it that much. But hey, most people think I am weird anyway.

I am with you sgtcowboyusmc, because I am not giving up my dyna either. I ride mostly to and from work with it. Sometimes errands, but due to my back issues, I just can't ride more than a 100 miles radius or I seize up. For a dyna my scoot rides fine, it is the operator that has all the issues. I wouldn't mind jumping on a road sofa of some kind and light out for a 300-500 mile trip. Laughlin for instance, but my kids will inherit my dyna before I ever sell it.
That is what got me interested in Eaglerider in the first place. I thought of renting. They have no outlets real near me, but I looked online at what they had for sale in LA and had an opportunity to check it out last week. The bikes look to be in good condition, but the price does not seem in line with the mileage and other abuse they might have been subjected to as rentals.
I think for now, I will just forget about it. It was pretty daunting to see 250 or so 2008 motorcycles for sale in one location though
