Hang in there JP. Getting hurt is the easy part... the recovery is the long hard part. You'll be back on a bike before ya know it and the bad mood will be gone as soon as you fire up the new bike.
Good luck with the crooks err I mean Ins. company and lawyer.

Know the feeling...it'll pass. Recovery sucks, especially when you hear and see bikes going by. I played alot of XBOX in recovery mode. Hang in there. Botz
Tell you what, if you are ever in CO, I will let you ride around the block on my bike. Personally, I hate not being control of my own destiny. Like a line in one of my favorite movies, Coneheads, they have grasped you at the base of your snardleys.
Joe, if I go even a weekend without riding I get the blues, I can’t imagine how you feel, especially with this weather. Time passes quickly, trust me, when you get back in the saddle it will be even sweeter.
Glad to see you posting, sure did miss you.
And yea come down anytime I’ll let you ride my bike.
Hang in there, JC..it takes too long to heal, and ya get to thinking. I'm the same way. Don't press getting out there, let it come to you.
As a kid, I was involved in a major accident before I even got my liscence. I basically shattered my left ankle, and did massive damage to my left knee. I was in a full leg cast for months. I just couldn't wait to ride...or walk! So, I did both. Several years, four surgeries and an acl replacement later, I'm paying the price of osteo-arthritis in that knee. I am 48, and need a knee replacement. They do those at 60. On bad days, I don't walk very well. Be patient, brother...let it come to you. AND DO YOUR PT!
Thank you for all the support. I really am in good spirits. Doing what I have to do to get my body working as close to what it was. Family, Friends and folks I don't even know all helping out. Brings a smile to my face. The world has grown very selfish. Nice to see we still have many folks that have not followed that path.
Seems we have a number of Leather Necks on this site. Just to prove I still have the grit.....I was awake and never blacked out during the accident. They Docs had to knock me out for my surgery's just cuz that is SOP.
I have yet to shed one tear over this and have been smiling and joking while laying on the road and ever since. The Physical Therapists have yet to make me break face and I was even laughing while peeing blood a few weeks ago asking my gal if that was because of the red Cool Aid I drank the previous day.
I do not feel sorry for myself........ Never will.
However. This is my first time dealing with the Health and Insurance companies. It has been an eye opener. I figure if you purchase and have the coverage you should be able to use it without having to fight tooth and nail to get your benefits. The bogus health charges and so forth. I am sure many of you been through this. Paperwork a flying.
But over the last week we have had a few really nice days. The rumble on the road from other bikers makes my head turn and yes for a few seconds I pout!
Tends to suck a bit when you loose something you love. Whether it be a person or a part of who you are. But I get over it....
Get used to the paperwork. You'll be seeing it for a long time. Every bozo that walked passed you in the ER puts their name on the list for a piece of the action. You'll get bills from people you didnt know existed. At some point you'll get fed up and tell them your not paying for all the BS charges. I did and they eventually go away. I still have collection agencies coming after me from the 2007 left turner. I dont talk to collection agencies. When you first got injured I mentioned you should obtain the other drivers cell phone records to be sure she wasnt texting or talking at time of incident. It will increase your payout bigtime. Also do not except ANY liability at all if she turned in front of you.You have to play hardball with these humps. Good luck bro.
Psst...Hey guys... whatever you do.. do remind him that he's about to have 18ft of snow coming his way over the next few months. SSSHHHHH.
JP... keep your heads up. You heard me. When ever you think you need something exciting to do... go chase the wife around a bit. If that don't work, go find a girlfriend. That should speed up your healing I think!
Botz- You got that right. Got a bill from every clown that said Boo to me. Then we wonder why Health Care is in such a mess. The only individuals that I did not get a direct bill from were the Nurses. Heck they did most the work.
Gas Man- I tried chasing my gal around the house. I could not catch her. So....I Boom-A-Rang my cane at her. And Boy....It came back even Faster. Now I have more healing

Joe I never questioned your grit. Just a little Marine Corps humor to try and cheer you up. Just like back in the Squadbay.
Take Care and pay this Jarhead no mind.
