Default Just in a bad mood latley

I have been out of the saddle for a few months now. Empty spot in the garage were a bike once stood with only the memory of a cable dragging it across the floor on its side to get it on a flat bed to be salvaged.

The broken bones I was told about are healing up real fast. Physical Therapy is getting other parts moving better. However other things that I thought were in fine working order are going south. Yeah I know "Cry me a River".

I bet if I was was to hop on a bike now I could ride it. Problem is I have none and the insurance companies and lawyers are taking their sweet ass time. I tell you these insurance folks are thieves and *ickheads. I pay my premiums and I should be covered especially when I was not at fault. But that is what we pay the lawyers for right?

So I am looking at a 2009 red denim Street Bob and a 2010 black fatbob. I just hope I recover enough to get one of them or something to toss a leg over. I also hope the dealer does not sell them.

There is no cure for the withdrawls from riding. Guess I am lucky enough to know I will be in the saddle again. Just not soon enough for my liking. Boy am I in a pissy mood.

You may well be within your rights to be in a pissy mood so uh...........enjoy it? Naw, that didn't come out right. I'm thinkin, though, either one of those bobs would be a good choice and if they get sold it's not like a feller couldn't find another one.
Good luck and good health.

The fact that you got smacked off your bike hard enough to total it and be able to sit in front of your computer to complain about no bike is an amazing thing. Not trying to be a jerk here, but let's put things into perspective here.

Besides, so what if the dealer sells the bikes before you are in a position to buy one, I promise you there are more out there and even more new ones being built too.

Feel lucky it's not worse and then dream about your next set of wheels.

Heal thoroughly and soon!

Suck it up Marine

Just kidding Joe. I understand the frustration but it might be a blessing in disguise. If you had the bike now you would go out and ride it (I know I would) and that might not be the best thing right now as things are healing. Trust that things happen for a reason, even if we darn well can't figure out why.

Keep healing and take care of yourself.

Cool Re: Just in a bad mood latley

You may think this is a bunch of crap, but when adverse things happen to me I stop and say to myself "It could be worse". And then I think, literally, about how it could be worse sometimes even saying it out loud. I didn't always think like that but over the years I have learned to. It will actually change most people's attitudes when they learn this little trick.

As to a new bike, what Buzz said. I'm sure there will be plenty to go around after the lawyers and insurance companies get done massaging each other. Concentrate on healing and therapy.

Hey aren't you about out of riding weather up there in Minnesota anyway? Hang tough friend!

Yeah, just go ahead and get a Fatbob before I do, see if I care. Just kidding, hang in there Joe. Good things will surely come your way.

Don't make me come up there!
Buck up, kiddo. Better days are ahead. i've been catching rides to work lately, too. It really sucks. I got the transmission fixed. Then the battery died. Then the tire went flat. Then I waited 2 weeks for new wheels to come in to alleviate the spoked wheels, tubes and can't fix a flat problem. Now I'm waiting on a jack. The weather has been great for riding here. Not 95 degrees anymore.
Keep posting about the insurance companies. No one here will disagree with you.
