By the responses, I take it that you are REALLY a lubrication engineer, not a tech at Jiffy lube, as I first thought. I look forward to learning from you. I have some oil beliefs I'd like to get your take on when the proper thread gets started.

Jiffy ??????? no, not quite.

Nuclear power is where it's at. Clean, green, and reliable.

I'm in the Component Engineering group. We take care of all of the mirad "stuff" it takes to keep this place running.

Power supplies (every instrument has one), Motor opperated and air operated valves, pumps, motors, and all of the Predictive Maintenance stuff that myself and my partners do.

Oil analysis, vibration monitoring, thermograghy, and I even listen to things in the ultrasonic range. Amazing what you can hear.

I'm a Civil guy by degree, used to build roads and small bridges, water and sewer, etc for a City. Done a lot of other stuff, built the first and third independent spent fuel storage facilities, been an inspection engineer, done a fair amount of programming, and now Lubrication.

I've learned a hell of a lot here and just try to look at things logically, do some research, and save us all some money and grief.

Peace.
