Default Headlight Alignment

What did you think of our headlight alignment article in the December issue? Did it contain good info to help you with the maintenance of your bike, or was it too basic?

Note: Due to my magazine production and travel schedule I will not be giving responses to posts made here. However, I will be checking them as often as possible to get your feedback. Thanks for helping us make American Iron Magazine the best it can be.

I thought the article was informative. I'm not sure about the alignment on my ride because when I pull up behind a car it seems as though my lights are too high. I will be using the info in the article to adjust them.

Good information. Now I wish you would do one so people in lifted trucks would be able to adjust their lights instead of riding around at night blinding everyone.

Good info., well done, but IMO too basic. This is in the owners manual. I realize a % of your readers are inexperienced mechanics, and you have to strike a balance. Keep up the good work.

Cool Re: Headlight Alignment

I thought the article was pretty handy. I think it is more aimed at folks that maybe aren't inclined to tear into a motor or tranny, but might take on easier less involved tasks. Not everyone is going to buy the official shop manual and this nicely covered the subject. Articles like this I believe are very helpful to the new Harley owners also. It might even provide the impetus for people to learn more about their bikes. I'm a firm believer in "knowledge is power".

Amen brother. I think the trick is to never stop learning, keep moving forward. I've found just about everyone can teach me something no matter how small or seemingly insignificant at the time.

Hey, ever have one of those moments when something happens and your inner voice says, "Ohhh! That's what they meant when they said that!" I know I have.
