South Park Episode Player - The F Word

You know I almost started a thread on this episode, but didn't think this was a demographic that would follow the show. I usually think their stuff is funny even when they refer to some of my other demographic traits. But this one I don't know howbto feel about.

Boycott? Get a sense of humor?

What do you guys think?

As a regular viewer of the show for many years, I have laughed while they skewered Prius drivers in their clouds of "smug," Presidential politics with the Obama/McCain ripping off the treasure, Kanye West as the "gayfish," (do you like fishsticks? in your mouth? what are you a gayfish?) and knew it was matter of time before they made fun of something that i hold dear. I hate to admit it, but it was funny. Most good humor has an element of truth in it and this does too. I see some similarity with those cartoon characters, myself and some people I ride with or come across while out for a ride. Not much similarity, but enough to make me laugh and make motor noises for everyone to hear.

Another case of PM (Preception Management) this time not by the Govt. but by the media. Tell a lie long enough and loud enough and you can get the majority of the people to believe it. We (the motorcycle minority) have to learn to police ourselves or PM like this will be what Fed., State, and local govts. use to police us. Loud Pipes may save lives, but it is one more nail in the coffin that will be used to legislate us out. We as a whole have to get the majority of the biking community to accept the fact that there are thoes out there that will do everything in there power to legislate our lifestyle.

HDDon says it well. I've had my own day of sporting unbaffled megaphones, just for the thrill of the noise. (Hey, check me out!) And, recently, I nearly got smeared against a concrete barrier, when my lane suddenly became the property of a cage that wanted the space, without noticing that I was there.

But, we all have to suck it up and make compromises. Passing cars with amps that vibrate the windows of my house; thundering motorcycles that split my eardrums (what little hearing I have left, since my megaphone era) are not cool. I laughed my rocks off, watching the South Park thing. Thanks.

I'm not a South Park fan but I did get a bit of amusement from the episode. There is quite a lot of truth therein.

not to mention those anoyingly loud car alarms...that go off all the time as i pass by them on my anoyingly loud harley.

You mark my words... somebody is going to get hurt cause of that show. Some dumb ass somewhere is going to call some biker a fag cause of the show and said person is going to end up in a whole world of hurt cause of it.

I found it somewhat funny but it was so over the top that it wasn't all that funny. More disconcerning that somebody is going to shed such a negative light on something that as said, I hold dear.

I haven't watched the show in a long time. Actually never after that one year when they were suppose to reveal cartmans father was. Then pulled a prank on April 1st and made us wait 6 more weeks. Vowed to never watch again. And haven't.
