Dearler Product Knowledge/B.S. to Customers

Reading thru the forum and from other riders. The sometimes amazing things we are told at dealerships. The vary from Ive heard worse engine noise dont worry to go ask that other guy where it is. Had 3 guys look at a 2009 (Calif.)Softail Custom to tell me where the catalytic converters are located. One said I dont know ask him, that guy said it was the plastic evaporation cannister, the next guy almost crawled on the floor looking for them. I finally bought the bike from another dealer whose salesman said without hesitation, "there in the mufflers".

After 100 plus years surely they can hire competent help that know what there selling. May be American Iron Mag. can do a story on this. Or just for laughs lets see who can tell the best B.S. story they have ever gotten from a dealer, I would pay money for that.
